BATTLE GROUND 01: DECLARE YOUR STAND

“Now it happened that while Joshua was, he looked up and much to his amazement, he saw a man standing in front of him, holding a drawn sword in his hand! Joshua approached him and asked him, “Are you one of us, or are you with our enemies?” Josh 5:13 (ISV)

It is only a spiritually insensitive man that will not understand the days we are in. These are evil days, as much as they are days of great exploits. We are in days when the battle is fiercest. Days in which a lot of people are losing sight of their great ideas and ideals to challenging and almost overwhelming sceneries. These days, it is difficult to differentiate an usher in the church from a waiter at a bar. I don’t mean to sound judgemental, but I’m trying my best to communicate what God is laying in my heart. My friend, these are times when there is need for you to declare where you belong. Are you for God or are you for Satan?

There is no idiomatic fence to sit on here. You are either for God or against Him. You are either working to establish and extol the kingdom of God on earth or you are helping the devil send more souls to hell. I know I’m sounding a harder than I used to. Well, that is the language my generation needs.
With the understanding of the situation on ground, there is a clarion call for re-assessment and re-evaluation of our lives. Are you in God’s army or are you working against God? Is your heart right with God? To my fellow born again, spirit filled, tongue talking folks, what is your relationship with God like? These questions and many more of their kinds as the Holy Spirit asks are very pertinent ones. We really need to look at our walk and work with God and let our spirit bear witness with God’s Spirit that we are still His.

The battle I’m reminding us of is a fierce one and only those who are on God’s side will survive and prevail. If you are reading this and you are an agent in the hands of the devil, you have a chance to repent and join God’s army. If you are amongst those that feel they are neither here nor there, better declare your stand or stand to be declared a casualty.
However, God’s solid foundation still stands. It has this inscription on it: ‘The Lord knows those who belong to him,’ and ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must turn away from evil’” 2 Tim. 2:19 (ISV).

The battle is on…
